Review

The Pi Mileย  is a 3.14 mile loop on Georgia Tech's Campus (check out the history here) that goes by quickly with all the scenery to check out! There are four entrances with signs that describe the loop's history and route, but there are markers on the path all throughout (see pictures above). So, once you hop on, you can follow all the way around easily!ย

We started at the Recreation Center (CRC) and went down to 6th street. The run is lovely as you wind through campus and into the Eco Commons. This area is relatively new and is so nice! We took a quick break to explore and go down the slide of course (Roscoe did not take part). Once we hopped back into the run, we followed along the bike path and past the awesome Biosystems building all on multi-use paths. You then turn on the road, which isn't as nice, but it's not too loud and the sidewalk is relatively wide. The rest of the run on campus is lovely, seeing all the athletic fields and stadium and running past Tech Tower. You finish out along Techwood back to the CRC.ย

Depending on the time of day, the paths can be busy, but we didn't get slowed down by the crowds and the liveliness of campus gave us some extra energy.ย

I highly recommend this run for early morning or at night because it is well-lit the entire way. The path was designed for that purpose, so if you are looking for a good night run that's safe and mostly off the road, check out the Pi Mile!ย
