Review

Lullwater is an awesome nature preserve on Emory's campus that has a lot of options for extended runs. The basic loop is 2 miles, but you can extend to the PATH towards Medlock Park for a much longer run (check out that run here) or towards Hahn Woods for some more trail running. The park consists of some paved paths down to the lake from Clifton and up towards the Lullwater House, some gravel trails, and some dirt paths. There is a map near the lake where the paved paths converge.Β

We ran in from Clifton, down to the lake, and took a left. From here, you'll see the entrance from the Clairmont campus on your right. You'll run past that and see a left turn down some stone steps for the loop. If you continue straight, you'll reach the PATH on Clairmont.Β

Once you turn left, you'll continue along the trails past the creek until you meet back up with the paved path. If you take a right onto the sand, and you can continue toward Hahn Woods and extend the run that way. Stay on the paved path, and you'll run uphill back towards Clifton. If you cross the suspension bridge on the right, you can go check out the old powerhouse.Β

This is a beautiful run with lots of options and I highly recommend it if you are over near Emory!
