Review
This is a great option if you are looking for a unique run that transports you outside the city without the inconvenience of a long drive. Start this run by the parking lot in the Frazer Forest lot. Make your way through the relaxing trails of the forest then back down the drive to the beautiful garden. You can cut through the back of the garden to get to Lakeshore Drive and cross Ponce de Leon into Deepdene Park. The park offers beautiful bridges, creek crossings, and peaceful scenery. If you need a break, take some time to read the signs about the parks interesting history. There are many different spurs you can take to check out other areas of the park and increase your distance. You can also pass by the oldest known tree in Atlanta! When you exit Deepdene back to Ponce, follow the sidewalk back to the front of Frazer Forest to finish out the loop. If you're looking for a longer run, you can continue along the path in Dellwood Park to hop on the Freedom Park Trail. I took a nice cool down walk in the gardens to finish off my trip.ย
